Sorry it's been so long since my last post, I've been really busy recently!
Just a quick post today-commenting on a few of my faviourite upcoming trends.
The fashion world has been embracing the ugly-parading their dainty feet off the catwalk and straight into a hoof-like heel. Early supporter Elle Fanning's Prada beasts were met rather dubiously and even now, the geisha platform is stirring up turmoil within the split public. Prada's 2013 show sucessfully punctured the front row with embellished brothel creepers-but will you be trotting with this trend, or grudgingly trudging?
For the brave, I suggest selecting pink or sparkly versions with Miu Miu and Prada in mind-after all, if you're going to embrace madness, why do it half-heartedly?
I have deciphered from the pages of the bible itself (Vogue), that bold and singular florals and rounded, botanical shapes are big news this season. Again, my focus was on Miu Miu and Prada-who have wisely selected to tone the print down by chosing minimalistic shapes and block colours.I also wanted to pay homage to this Vivienne Westwood classic. It's such a timeless piece-and when I say it's an 'investment', I swear it's not a means of justifying it's pricetag- I truly intend to share it within generations to come. So here you go, Grandchildren-who needs itchy home made knits when you can help yourself to Grandma's wardrobe?
Love from Dido xx
P.S: please be wary around the current obsession with stripes-I predict the straight may soon become a bit wavy.
